Instead of the allergy analogy, I think the question is this respectful to the people I'm with and the event I'm attending is better. If you're going to a casual party it's okay to wear some more reveling outfits, if you're going to school, it's respectful to wear something more on the business casual side. The brain is no less a part of ones sexual anatomy then the rest of the body, and one could argue that it is the chief identifier of ones sexual anatomy yet a trans person gets marginalized simply because the brain is registering differently than the body. In short the brain is part of ones biology it is part of ones biosex even if it doesn't match that of the body.
